The Recovery Pathway
Personalised support for every stage of recovery.
Recovery looks different for everyone, so your care begins with a Consultation & Introductory Treatment.
This gives me time to understand your situation, your symptoms and your goals before we decide together what support will be most helpful — whether that’s a personalised scar self-care plan to continue at home, or a six-session Recovery Pathway.
What is it?
The Recovery Pathway integrates the therapies I’ve seen to be effective over the years of supporting people through cancer treatment and recovery.
My sessions combine red light therapy with a personalised blend of scar massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and aromatherapy; supporting healing, improving tissue health and helping you feel more comfortable and confident in your body.
How does it work?
Initial consultation and introductory treatment
One × 90-minute session | £80
This session gives us time to talk through your recovery, understand your symptoms and goals, and introduce some gentle, tailored treatment. It will conclude with a plan for your ongoing care.
The Recovery Pathway
Six × 60-minute sessions | £420
Your sessions take place over a period of up to six months, scheduled at a frequency that suits your stage of recovery, needs and availability.
In the early stages following surgery or radiotherapy — or where scar formation, pain or tissue restriction would benefit from more intensive support — treatments may be scheduled once or twice a week to provide consistency during the body’s active healing phase.
Further into recovery, where scar pain, tissue restriction or the ongoing effects of radiotherapy persist, sessions may be spaced fortnightly or monthly to provide targeted support, work through plateaus and encourage continued improvement.
Why I combine these therapies
Each discipline plays a different role in your recovery; red light therapy supports healing at a cellular level, scar massage improves tissue mobility, Manual Lymphatic Drainage encourages healthy fluid movement, and clinical aromatherapy helps create the optimal conditions for recovery. My integrated approach is designed to support your body's natural healing processes from several different angles.
Why consistency matters
While one treatment can provide relief, meaningful improvements are achieved through consistent care over time. Each of your six sessions builds on the progress of the last, allowing the cumulative effects of treatment to support tissue repair, improve mobility and reduce pain. By working with your body's natural healing processes, my aim is to help create lasting improvements.
Learn more about:
-
Supporting healing on a cellular level.
My passionate advocacy of red light therapy (photobiomodulation) has grown from seeing first-hand the incredible difference this treatment can make to pain and tissue health. Photobiomodulation uses carefully selected wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to stimulate the body's natural repair processes.
Research is showing that it can enhance cellular energy production, reduce inflammation and support collagen formation, which is why it is being increasingly explored as a supportive treatment for tissue recovery, pain and healing.
Photobiomodulation can help to:
Support tissue repair
Reduce inflammation
Support healthy collagen production
Improve scar healing
Reduce pain and discomfort
-
Restoring movement and supporting healthy tissue repair.
Scar tissue continues to change long after surgery or radiotherapy. Left untreated, it can become tight, painful and restrict movement. Using specialist scar therapy techniques including myofascial release, I help improve tissue mobility, soften adhesions and encourage healthy remodelling of the scar, supporting both comfort and function.
Scar therapy can help to:
Improve tissue mobility and flexibility
Reduce pain and sensitivity
Help improve adhesions and fibrotic tissue
Improve posture and movement
Support long-term scar healing
-
Encouraging the body's natural healing and drainage systems.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, specialised technique that encourages the movement of lymph fluid and can help reduce swelling, heaviness and tightness.
It can be particularly beneficial following surgery or cancer treatment, helping to reduce swelling, improve comfort and promote healthy tissue recovery.
MLD can help to:
Reduce swelling and fluid build-up
Support lymphatic circulation
Ease feelings of heaviness or tightness
Improve tissue health
Promote relaxation and recovery
-
Supporting both physical recovery and emotional wellbeing.
Recovery isn't only physical. Using carefully selected essential oils chosen to meet your individual needs, clinical aromatherapy complements the hands-on treatments by creating the conditions in which the body can relax, helping reduce stress, ease muscle tension and support overall wellbeing throughout recovery.
Clinical aromatherapy can help to:
Reduce stress and anxiety
Ease muscular tension
Promote relaxation
Improve overall wellbeing
Enhance the treatment experience
“I was apprehensive but I needn’t have worried. Rosie put me at ease immediately and her explanations of what she was doing were helpful. I thought I might feel strange having someone touch my reconstructed breasts but it was actually soothing and relaxing and I could feel my scars were so much softer after she’d massaged them. After nearly a year of surgery and treatment, I feel I am coming to terms with my ‘new’ body and this massage has helped.”
